In the North Line Islands, Jarvis Island is
unincorporated territory of United States. The island is located southwest of
Honolulu about a thousand miles way. It is almost halfway between Hawaii and
Cook Island. The area is organized by United States Fishing and Wildlife
services as a part of National Wildlife refuge system.
